Action Plan

Listening to your iPod at over 70% volume for 2hrs can damage your ears.  To stop this from happening you can limit your iPods volume to below 60% and also having a time limit so you don’t listen to it for an extended amount of time.

Teenagers are the most affected by this cause as they will listen to them all day if allowed to.  To stop this from happening you should not take your iPod to school and leave it at home or put it away in your cupboard for the week and take it out when it is the weekend.

The Government is not doing anything about listening to iPods too loud  when they could be. The Government can stop this by banning iPods from use at school, can put up ads about what can happen if you listen to your iPod too loud and put limiters on all Ipods.

People usually listen to their iPods while working and on public transport. We can change this by putting signs up around these places saying ‘Be careful of how long you listen to your iPod' or in some cases ban them.

Over 3 million people in Australia have a hearing impairment.  Hospitals see people with  hearing problems for regular checkups.

Noise cancelling headphones will help people lower the volume on their Ipods as there will be no back-ground noise to hear over.
