How does the Ear Work?
All sound travels through the air in waves which are collected by the outer ear and funnelled down the ear canal causing the eardrum to vibrate. These vibrations are then passed to the inner ear where thousands of tiny hair cells are set in motion and transform the vibrations into electrical impulses that travel along the auditory nerve to the brain. The result being you hear the sound.
